Roxi Jara

Roxi is a Performer/Entertainer/Artistic Director. She has been doing theater since 2003 and started improvising in late 2017. She started Roxana's Virtual Playhouse in August 2020, a virtual platform facilitating, coaching, directing, adults with diverse abilities an array of arts therapies courses. She is an award-winning improviser, 'Burnett Brigade' her all female trio troupe won the 1st Queen City Comedy Global Improv Project, 3-on-3 Tournament in 2021. She performs online through Queen City Comedy Global Improv Project, as a founding member of teams Ridgely, and Trash Kingdom. She is also a founding member of the online, all female sketch troupe, Naked Ramen. In real life you can see her performing throughout theaters in central Virginia and North Carolina. Roxi is a Major League player and facilitator through ComedySportz Richmond. You can also see her at the CSz Richmond Theater performing on her duo team, Festival Favorites: Jara and George. She often guests as a performer with Coalition Theater, in downtown RVA. Roxi played 'Vic Twin Tori', in an original improvised Murder Mystery play through ComedyWorx Theater, in Raleigh N.C. Roxi loves connecting with others through play and laughter. She believes that the power of play and the magic of laughter can help in the healing of mind, body, and spirit.
